fauna of the lagoon / The Little Egret (Egretta garzetta ) is a small heron that, until some time ago, could be seen primarily, if not exclusively, in the most remote salt marshes of Laguna, but that is becoming quite frequent in recent times, also found in areas very close to Venice and sometimes - as can deduce from the pictures - even in the very heart of it: the Giudecca Canal (Enzo Pedrocco, 2008)
